Mighty Oaks After School Club
Mr Lavis will be running tool time sessions in our Friday after school club sessions. Why not come along and join in making equipment for the school!
We hope you enjoy browsing our webpage. If you require further information or would like to book your child in for a free taster session, please contact the office.
Our after school club, Mighty Oak Adventure Club, opened in September 2017 and runs from Monday to Thursday from 3:10 pm until 6 pm and Friday's 3:10 pm until 5 pm
The club is based around outdoor adventure/learning. We follow the principles of forest school, encouraging children to be risk takers and explore the outside environment. We provide an opportunity for your children to learn skills for life in a controlled environment.
Our activities include:
Forest school sessions
Learning to use a range of tools
Creating and making from natural materials
Arts and craft activities
Sessions are charged at £10.50 per child Monday - Thursday and £8.00 per child on a Friday from September 2019. A free taster sessions is available to children not already registered for the club.
Further information can be found in our Club Handbook.
If you would like your child/ren to attend, please print and complete the registration form and return it to the school Office . You will then need to pay the registration fee of £15 per child on ParentPay and once this has been done you will be assigned to the system which will allow you to make bookings.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY...
" I really like that most of the staff already know the children through teaching at the school."
"I love that it's a forest school. It's a lovely relaxed atmosphere and my children love going."
We currently accept childcare vouchers from the following providers:
· Co-operative Flexible Benefits
· Fair care
If you would like us to register for vouchers with another provider, please let the office know. If you will be paying by childcare voucher please complete a voucher request form and hand in to the office. Your ParentPay account will be credited on receipt of voucher payments, enabling you to book sessions.
Tax free Childcare
We are registered providers of Tax Free Childcare for Breakfast Club and Mighty Oaks Adventure Club.
If you are working you may qualify for Tax Free Childcare. Then for every £8 you pay in childcare costs, the government will credit your account £2, up to a maximum of £2000 each year - that's up to £500 every 3 months. If you have a disabled child, you can receive up to £4000 per child – a total of £1000 every 3 months and use this money to pay for childcare.
To qualify parents must be working and each earning at least £120 a week (on average) and not more than £100,000 each a year.
Parents can use Tax-Free Childcare alongside the 15 and 30 hours free childcare schemes in England, or any free childcare hours provided by the Scottish, Welsh or Northern Ireland governments.
Parents can't use Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as they receive childcare vouchers, Universal Credit or tax credits. However, 30 hours free childcare can be received alongside these schemes.
When you apply, you'll be considered for both Tax Free Childcare and 30 hours free childcare through the same application. You'll only be asked to decide which support you want if you're on tax credits or using a childcare voucher or salary sacrifice scheme.
For further information please go to https://childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk
Once your application for Tax Free Childcare is approved, please let the office know. You will need to continue booking sessions through Parentpay but payments will be made through your tax free childcare account.
Once we have received payment we will credit your account to enable you to make bookings. All you will need to make a payment is the postcode of the school and our Ofsted number:
Postcode: BS16 9RF.
