As a previous pupil (circa 1970) of Pucklechurch Primary School, I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to take a role of Co-Opted Governor. Having very strong roots in the village and community, I recently returned to Pucklechurch following a full military career serving as an Army Officer around the globe. Having a keen interest in education, community spirit and living and working in a safe environment, I hope to be able to support the development of the school in whichever way I am able.

Hello! As vicar of Pucklechurch I am an ex-officio member of the governing body at Pucklechurch Primary which is a Church of England, Voluntary Controlled (CE VC) school. My role is to maintain and establish the Christian ethos of the school, foster and encourage links between church and school and support the children and all the adults who work there in whatever capacity. Before becoming a vicar I taught in secondary schools and moved to the village in 2000. I frequently lead school assembly.
I have taken over the role of clerk to governors from the 1st January 2020. I have been the School Business Manager at Pucklechurch since November 2018. I have a number of years experience of working within a school environment working my way up to my current position. I love working at the school the staff, children and governors form an amazing team and I am so pleased to be part of their team.

I am the Staff Governor and I teach Year 1.. I am in my 7th year at Pucklechurch and I am also the English subject leader. My role is to act as a link between the staff within the school and the governoring body.

I am a Parent Governor. I am part of the Assessment and Data team and the Governors Sports Champion. I have two children at the school and I am a keen hockey player. I am eager to support the whole school community in all aspects of school life and would like to see every child reach their potential. I feel privileged to be involved with Pucklechurch Primary School

I am a foundation governor. I attend
St Thomas a Becket, the church linked to the school and have done so since I was a child. I have lived in Pucklechurch for over 35 years and I also attended Pucklechurch Primary School as a child. My two children now attend the school. As a foundation governor, I hope to maintain and promote strong links between the church and school and local community. I also am a member of the Curriculum Team and am the Early Years governor where I support the school and staff in delivering a successful framework for the curriculum through the school and especially the Early Years Team.
I am a parent Governor. I have been given the opportunity to get involved with overseeing the schools finances. As a maths leader in a primary school I take a special interest in helping children master and enjoy this core subject. I have been teaching 13 years and have experience of making decisions on school development and improvement. Having 2 children in the school I feel very privileged to have this chance to help in what ever way I can. I am passionate about creating a positive environment where all children can thrive and achieve.

Originally from Torquay I moved to Bristol in 2007 for work. I have lived in Pucklechurch for 10 years with my wife Sara and two children, Jack (7) and Tom (4), who both attend Pucklechurch primary school in year 3 and reception respectively.
I’m a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering.

I am the Deputy Headteacher at Pucklechurch. I am also the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Inclusion Lead, as well as leading on other subjects across the curriculum and teaching and learning more widely throughout school.
